Living Rock Academy

Living Rock Academy, located in the small hill country town of Bulverde, opened its doors in 2015.  The first classes of that first school year were initially held in nearby churches for a brief time awaiting delivery and setup of a 14,000 square foot modular building.  Plans for the first permanent structure soon followed.  Completion of that building would be nearly 4 years later, just in time for the 2019/2020 school year.

Living Rock’s first permanent building is a spacious multipurpose gym which includes rest rooms, locker rooms, a small kitchen, and a stage.  The gym floor, crowned with Sport Court® high gloss Response Maple Select gym flooring was one of the first gyms in Texas to feature the new Silver Maple, released in early 2019.  The layout of the gym includes primary as well as cross court basketball and volleyball with plenty of space for tip-&-roll bleachers.

Before construction was even complete, the 2019 graduating class received their diplomas in the new building.  On a typical school day, the gym is used for PE classes, theater arts, lunch, chapel, and of course sports.  Living Rock also opens to the gym for evening use for private sports teams to practice.

In addition to the gym floor, South Texas Sport Court also provided the basketball goals and volleyball systems and may at one point provide the wall pads once these are fit into a future budget.
