The Hoopmaster LT Portable Basketball Goal 9305-72 is ideal for facilities that need a portable entry level competition goal. The Hoopmaster LT features a 72” x 42” tempered glass backboard, double spring collegiate rim, and pads. The Hoopmaster LT is considered lightweight at just 1,700 pounds. It’s equipped with 4 polyurethane non-marking wheels and a 900 pound ballast with optional floor anchoring system.
Strong Steel Construction
The frame of the Hoopmaster LT Portable Basketball Goal is constructed of welded heavy wall steel tubing throughout. All steel components are powder coated and designed for indoor use and indoor storage. Galvanized framing is available if the goal is going to be stored outdoors or subject to wet weather. Units with galvanized framing are custom quoted upon request.
Full Size Glass Backboard
The Hoopmaster LT comes with a 72”x42” tempered glass backboard with powder coated steel frame. The glass is 1/2” thick with white target lines permanently fused to the glass.
Backboard Pads
The PMCE Pro-Mold Backboard Pads are available in 16 standard colors. These pads are formed with a durable outer urethane skin and feature a 10 year limited warranty.
Collegiate Breakaway Rim
The 2000+ breakaway rim has been installed in more facilities than any other rim in history. Indeed, this rim meets or exceeds design requirements of NCAA and AAU as well as other basketball organizations. The 2000+ rim is set at the factory to break or flex at 140 pounds of dynamic energy force. This may be increased or decreased by the installer by adjusting the compression on the springs.
Rim Height
The Hoopmaster series of portable basketball goals from Gared Sports are designed for rim heights of 8’, 9’, and 10’. Lowering the rim to 8’ or 9’ will move the backboard closer to the backstop frame and reduce the overall safe play space
Non-Marking Wheels
The Hoopmaster LT Portable Basketball Goal comes with four 5” diameter polyurethane swivel casters. The wheels feature steel ball bearings with grease fittings for internal lubrication. The wheels are non-marking.
Padding
The Hoopmaster LT includes padding on the front and sides of the portable base. Pads are constructed of 2” foam encased in 14oz vinyl, similar to gymnasium wall pads. The pads are available in 14 standard colors. Logos, lettering, or artwork are printed on the padding for an additional feel.
Easy Folding Mechanics
Four tension springs easily lift the Hoopmaster LT Portable Basketball Goal into playing position. This can be done by a single person. Once the unit is raised, it is locked into position with a locking pin to prevent collapse or movement.
Ballast
The Hoopmaster LT has a 900 pound ballast permanently welded into the of the unit. This prevents the ballast from accidentally being removing and causing unintended tip over.
Anchor and Alignment Pins
The base includes an anchoring bar for 2 floor anchors as well as alignment pins. The floor anchor bar is located near the rear ballast. The manufacturer recommends anchoring the unit to the floor before use. The anchors are sold specified during ordering based on the type of flooring. Alignment pins are located at the front of the base and these help align the goal before raising it into the playing position.

Gared Sports offers a 10 year limited warranty on the Hoopmaster LT Portable Basketball Goal.
Gym Floor Weight Loading
All gym floors are susceptible to weight load and rolling load damage. Portable basketball goals may exceed the load rating of you gym floor. Always check with your floor’s manufacturer to determine weight load design of your floor.
Portable basketball goals are ideal for facilities where the goal can roll around and rest on bare concrete or on protective plywood sheeting.
