The Fold Up Wall Mount Basketball Goal is perfect for gym spaces where the goal is within 12 feet of the wall. This model supports all levels of competitive play. Moreover, it complies with NBA, NCAA, FIBA, NFHS, and IBL standards.
The Face of Bank measures anywhere from 4 to 12 feet. (This is the distance between the wall and the front of the backboard.) If you add a height adjuster, this distance increases by about 10 inches. Therefore, plan your setup accordingly to ensure accurate spacing.
This fold up wall mount basketball goal comes complete with a 72” x 42” glass backboard, collegiate breakaway rim, backboard pads, and a telescoping backstop. Additionally, you may add a height adjuster as an optional upgrade to improve functionality.
The AFRG42 features the most durable aluminum-framed glass backboard on the market. It’s engineered to handle up to 900 pounds of force. Because of its versatile design, it fits wall-mounts, ceiling mounts, and portable NBA-style goals.
Gared Sports manufactures the LXP4200, which is the strongest glass backboard available today. It resists up to 1,100 pounds of force. Furthermore, this backboard attaches easily to wall mounts, ceiling systems, and arena-style goals.
This fold up wall mount basketball goal is compatible with a 3/4 HP electric winch. It includes a key switch for simple operation. In addition, the switch fits a standard light switch box. For safety, always hire a licensed electrician to handle all wiring connections.
For installations where height adjustments are rare, the manual winch offers a cost-effective alternative. It provides reliable functionality without the extra expense of an electric system. As a result, it’s a popular choice for schools and community gyms.
The 2000+ breakaway rim has been installed in more gyms than any other. It meets or exceeds NCAA, AAU, and other specifications. This rim flexes at 140 pounds of force. However, the installer can adjust the springs to modify the tension as needed.
PMCE Pro-Mold pads are available in 16 standard colors. These bolt-on pads are designed to fit both the LXP4200 and AFRG42 backboards. Consequently, they ensure both safety and visual appeal for your gym setup.
The backstop is the framework that connects the backboard to the wall or ceiling. This model comes in three telescoping sizes. Each version allows you to set your preferred Face of Bank. As a result, the system offers maximum flexibility to suit your layout.
Gared Sports supplies backstops in black and seven other powder-coated colors. Black is the default and typically ships quickly. On the other hand, custom colors may require 1–2 extra weeks for processing. Therefore, factor this into your planning when placing an order.
The optional height adjuster allows you to lower the rim to 8 feet. It comes in both electric and manual models. This unit adds approximately 10 inches between the backstop and backboard.
So, be sure to account for that additional space when choosing a backstop. For example, if your Face of Bank is 6’5” and you include a height adjuster, select the 4’–6’ backstop. The added 10 inches will help you reach your desired clearance. Notably, this component is only available in black.
Due to the weight and size of this equipment, professional installation is highly recommended. The process typically requires two strong individuals and either a scissor lift or scaffold. Improper installation can result in injury or damage.

Size and Weight
The fold up wall mount basketball goals with a glass backboard is shipped on either a 4’ x 6’ or 4’ x 8’ pallet. The total shipping weight is a minimum of 400 pounds, including pallet and packaging.
Shipping Location
Our flat fee shipping rate is for shipping within the continental United States. If you would like this basketball goal or any other gym equipment shipped elsewhere, please contact us so that we may provide a custom shipping quote.
Delivery
We will request that your order be delivered on a truck equipped with a lift gate. However, freight companies are known to disregard these instructions. If the driver shows up without a lift gate, and the order cannot be unloaded, please contact us immediately so that we can verify that a left gate was on the freight order.
The driver may need assistance unloading your freight. The friendlier or more helpful you are or the promise of a tip, will go along way when working with drivers. A average tip for this type of delivery is $10 to $20.
Drivers are not required to delivery pallets to an indoor space. There is an extra fee for indoor delivery. Again, if you’re friendly and helpful or offer a tip, most drivers will provide additional assistance.
Damage
Please list all noticeable damage on the delivery ticket before signing. Also, please take photos of damage immediately. Email us the photos so that we can work with the shipper to rectify any problems.
