Product Description
The LXP4200 professional glass backboard from Gared Sports is the strongest backboard manufactured today. This backboard can withstand 1,100 pounds of force. This backboard is able to attach to wall mount backstops, ceiling suspended backstops, and portable arena goals like those used on NBA courts.
The LXP4200 backboard is used by NBA, NCAA, FIBA, and other athletic organizations. It is also suitable for public schools as well as home gyms.
Size
The LXP4200 is 72” x 42”. This is industry standard for all levels of play.
Mounting
The backboard has rear mounting flanges at each corner. The spacing of the mounting flanges is 63” from left to right and 36” from top to bottom. This backboard can also be mounted behind the rim. Mounting hardware is sold separately.
This board should be able to replace most 72” x 42” backboards which have 63” x 36” mounting flanges.
Construction
The LXP4200 6’ professional glass backboard has 1/2” tempered glass and a steel frame. The frame corners are fastened with heavy gauge steel mounting plates. All of the steel is powder coated grey. An acrylic pad is used between the rim mounting plate and the glass to reduce the risk of breakage. Vinyl shock absorbers are used between the glass and steel frame. The LXP4200 is the strongest backboard available today.
Rim Compatibility
The rim mounting holes are 4” vertical and 5” horizontal. Most rims that fit a 72” x 42” backboard will fit this backboard. However, please check the rim compatibility chart to confirm.

Gared Sports offers a lifetime warranty on the LXP4200 6’ professional glass backboard.
Shipping
The LXP4200 ships flat on a 44” x 74” pallet. The total shipping weight is about 200 pounds.

Delivery
We will request that your order be delivered on a truck equipped with a lift gate. However, freight companies are known to disregard these instructions. If the driver shows up without a lift gate, and the order cannot be unloaded, please contact us immediately so that we can verify that a left gate was on the freight order.
The driver may need assistance unloading your freight. The friendlier or more helpful you are or the promise of a tip, will go along way when working with drivers. A average tip for this type of delivery is $10 to $20.
Drivers are not required to delivery pallets to an indoor space. There is an extra fee for indoor delivery. Again, if you’re friendly and helpful or offer a tip, most drivers will provide additional assistance.
Damage
Please list all noticeable damage on the delivery ticket before signing. Also, please take photos of damage immediately. Email us the photos so that we can work with the shipper to rectify any problems.
