The Stationary Wall Mount Basketball Goal Backstop is the framework that connects the backboard to the wall. The backstop is available in 5 wall offset distances: 2′ to 3′, 3′ to 4′, 4′ to 6′, 6′ to 9′, & 9′ to 12′.
What’s Included
This stationary wall mount basketball goal backstop includes the following items:
Buckboards – 2×8 wood buckboards which attach to the wall
Pipes – horizonal telescoping pipes (lengths vary based on offset from wall)
Chains – support chains, turn buckles, and quick links
Weldments – welded brackets connect pipe to buckboards and connect pipes to backboard
Cross Bracing – flat bars that form an X to provide lateral stabilization (please note that the do not come with the 2′ to 3′ or the 3′ to 4′ offsets)
Hardware – bolts, nut, and washers to fit the above items
What’s Not Included
The backstop does not include the hardware used to attach the 2×8 buckboards to the wall. The customer provides the appropriate hardware based on the type of wall to which the backstop is being attached. Backstop Color
Gared Sports offers black and 7 other standard powder coating colors. Custom colors are available for an additional fee. The default color is black. Backstop powder coated black are usually available to ship within a few days of placing the order. If a color other than black is specified, shipping may be delayed 1 to 2 weeks.
Dimensions
This backstop of designed for backboards which measure 72″ x 42″ & 72″ x 48″. The pipes extending out from the wall are 63″ apart on center. For 42″ tall backboards, the vertical distance between the pipes is 36″ on center. For 48″ tall backboards, the vertical distance between the pipes is 42″ on center. Please refer to the Installation Instructions for additional details.
Shipping
The stationary wall mount basketball goal is shipped on either a 4’ x 6’ or 4’ x 8’ pallet. The total shipping weight is a minimum of 175 pounds, including pallet and packaging.

Size and Weight
The stationary wall mount basketball goals with a steel framed glass backboard is shipped on a 4’ x 6’ pallet. The total shipping weight is a minimum of 100 pounds, including pallet and packaging.
Shipping Location
Our flat fee shipping rate is for shipping within the continental United States. If you would like this basketball goal or any other gym equipment shipped elsewhere, please contact us so that we may provide a custom shipping quote.
Delivery
We will request that your order be delivered on a truck equipped with a lift gate. However, freight companies are known to disregard these instructions. If the driver shows up without a lift gate, and the order cannot be unloaded, please contact us immediately so that we can verify that a left gate was on the freight order.
The driver may need assistance unloading your freight. The friendlier or more helpful you are or the promise of a tip, will go along way when working with drivers. A average tip for this type of delivery is $10 to $20.
Drivers are not required to delivery pallets to an indoor space. There is an extra fee for indoor delivery. Again, if you’re friendly and helpful or offer a tip, most drivers will provide additional assistance.
Damage
Please list all noticeable damage on the delivery ticket before signing. Also, please take photos of damage immediately. Email us the photos so that we can work with the shipper to rectify any problems.
